about me
"Creativity gives us the capacity to be curious, to examine and learn, to ask questions, and find answers."
Transformation occurs through creativity, love, authenticity, and choice. Each of these
components allow us to live meaningful lives in the face of uncertainty and suffering. Many people believe their meaning, value, worth, and identities come through financial success, relationships, or any number of other measurable means. My therapeutic stance is that those facets of a person are not made, but rather found through creativity, curiosity, and acceptance. By removing the "Why's" in life and replacing them with the "How's","What's", and "When's" we are able to stop judging ourselves, re-shape ourselves, and open ourselves to the unexplored world.
How I Work

I am a non-directive counselor, meaning that I do not come to sessions with an agenda and encourage conversation to happen naturally. It is not my job to tell you what to do, but to be a compassionate, trustworthy, and honest ally through your journey as we navigate your experiences together. With that said, I also firmly believe that humor is just as important as sitting with discomfort and hurt, so we will laugh, joke, and nerd out while getting the work done.
Talk Therapy
I provide a safe space where you can bring your authentic self to the table without judgment or shame. I will help you reflect on your past, experience your present, and together build a future.
Music as Medicine
Historically, music has been used as a tool for healing and cleansing. Today, I offer that listening to music allows us to connect with ourselves and others while being used for grounding, emotional regulation, projections, and reflection.
Gaming as Therapy
I use gaming as a means to build skills, create metaphors for real-world experiences, stress-relief, creative expression, and emotional regulation. MineCraft is the most common game, but share your games with me, and let's play!
MY HISTORY

My journey began in Utah, transitioning to Germany for an undergraduate degree in Visual Communications, then moving to graduate school in Texas for a degree in Counseling, and in 2021 it brought me to Washington. Over the course of my years, I have volunteered as a therapist at the state hospital, managed a program for neurodivergent youth persuing degrees, worked on school campuses with LGBTQIA+ students, and most recently established my own private practice to engage with more diverse populations. I am currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Counselor Education & Supervision which allows me to be inventive, work with my passions, and enjoy life to the fullest!

I lead a unique life full of artistry, kayaking, dogs, and adventure that provides me with not only the scholarly knowledge but vast life experience as well. Do not be surprised if you find yourself sitting across from someone who truly empathizes with you. Someone who not only has a tangible perspective on how you got where you are today, but, more importantly, how to get where you want to go.
